Tim Harkeness

ElderTim is the Senior Pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel in Peoria, Illinois. He has been a great encouragement to the launch of Harvest Denver and will continue in the role of elder for the first year of this plant.

Tim’s passion is to show God off! He makes sure this happens as He preaches God’s word faithfully and passionately, while the Holy Spirit radically transforms hearts and lives.

Tim came to trust in Christ as a young child and was raised in a strong Christian home. He worked as an electrical engineer for 17 years in the Naperville, Illinois area after graduating from Wheaton College and the University of Illinois in 1988.

Tim is married to his lovely wife, Jonna, and they have two beautiful children, Megan and Elissa. He loves to hunt and relax by watching the Chicago Bear’s play (OK lose, unfortunately).
